Don’t Waste your transmix fuel

Convert Your Transmix Fuel Back to a Marketable Product

In the twenty-first century, fuel is one of the most in-demand and exported commodities. Frequently, a single pipeline is used to transport fuel products of many types. Here’s where the issue arises.

It results in the mixing of various components of different fuel products. Such fuel is an unsuitable blend of gasoline, diesel, kerosene, fuel oils, and jet fuel. It is no longer in compliance with the requirements needed for any specific petroleum product. This cross-contamination of fuel makes it a waste.

Don't Throw Away Your Transmix Fuel

The goal of Lupton Petroleum Products Inc. is to make transmix fuel usable once more. It offers its customers a cost-effective, ecologically friendly option to get rid of their off-spec fuel.

Try Our Way

We strive to provide our customers with the highest quality petroleum products and services.

At first, waste fuel is brought to our facility, where it is recycled using a distillation process. After that, Fuel is sampled and tested at our onsite, EPA-approved laboratory. Here, it gets recertified to comply with the market requirements for resale. With the fuel having attained the desired market specifications, it is distributed in different areas through our distribution services.

A Brief Overview of the Transmix Fuel Distillation Method

  • Transmix is received by tanker truck and offloaded into storage tannks.
  • The product is pumped from the storage tank through heat exchangers.
  • The heat exchangers preheat the Transmix feed by using the heat from the gasoline (light ends) from the top of the column and the diesel (heavier endes) taken off the bottom fo the column through the distillation process.
  • Transmix feed enters the middle of the column where the lighter and heavier ends are separated.
  • A reboiler pump recirculates the heavier ends (diesel) through a process heater that raises the temperature to approximately 430 °F
  • In this way, products are separated according to their molecular weight.
  • Gasoline and other light fuel products go aloft and are collected from the top.
  • Diesel and other heavy fuel products are removed from the bottom of the column.
